So I did this beat up ship for Matt, who runs a bicycle clothing company,Ghostship, in CT. He's a super nice kid, and this was his first tattoo (and at 4 hours!)
Notice the chainrings for waves.

Full Blown Update

Pete's leg is finally done!

Woofy came in and sat for 5.5 hours, and we got really far on sleeving his bottom leg. We're working on it again next week, and will hopefully finish it off. There's a snake on the back of his calf, also.

Peyton crashed her fixed gear bicycle, got a concussion and a broked collar bone. While that was healing, she decided to get this half sleeve done in one sitting. She's a forestry grad student at Yale, and loves the trees. Here's a link to tyrants post about peyton's crash.

Heather came and got this painting done on her calf, it's a self portrait that Frida Kahlo did. Here's the link to the painting.

fecal face?

One of the best art sites out there is fecalface.com, giving you guest blogs from a huge variety of artists, interviews, photos of new shows, and just basic art news. It's based out of San Francisco ( as much as a website can be based out of somewhere ), and is just pure goodness.
They host weekly drawing contests, which I always mean to participate in, but don't. However, for this week, the theme was dog dog dog, and I did up this asian dragon but as a dog. You should sign up on the site and vote for me when the images are posted!

Jason's shark

I tattooed Jason, Tyrant's partner in crime at his real job, on saturday. Maybe since it was his first one, and there was bets on whether he was going to cry or not, but there was a lot of picture taking going on. after the 10000 pictures get compiled from the three different cameras, we're going to make a flip book.
Here's the two things Tyrant sent me this morning.

I Want Your Skull is a website devoted to all things skull related in the art world.
I'm super flattered to have them spotlight my print "DeathSong" this week.
Check it out HERE.

They also put out an art zine, stuffed full of skulls, with screenprints and mini art prints inside. hot shit.

Unloading!

Did you want a totebag, shirt, print, poster, stenciled record, etc, but not get it because of lack of money, you were lazy, or thought it wasn't the perfect time? Well, for the limited amount of time I do have left in good ole connecticut, all of these things are not only at turnpike tattoo (on the days that i am there, friday, saturday, and monday), but they are cheaper than ever!!!
I am unloading it all. You better come quick, there's only a few of each left, and the shirt sizes and colors are obviously limited.
And, just because, I am revealing a brand new totebag, not ever seen before! It will be along with the rest of it in a box or two at the shop.

Preview of the Minneapolisland

Well, Meryl and I returned late on Mother's Day from our week in Minneapolis.
It took us 7 days, but we won. Got a house, a job, learned our way around, hit the vegan eateries, and eve got tattooed! We'll be living in Uptown, near to a vegan pizza house and other great vegan places, and more art/culture than we'll be able to handle.
Here's a few pictures of our week, though it was 98% business. We'll have more fun when we go there for the long haul.
The shop I'll be at come June 18th is really amazing, with private rooms, touchless sinks (hot!), and two great artists. I'll post more info about that soon, for now, here's the link.

Skull of Spades

A fun walk-in I was able to fit in on friday. We're doing a convict pin up girl on his other arm later this week, and I can't wait.
